First let me say I like watches. However, I do not like to pay a lot for watches. Those K+ watches interest me but I would never pull out my wallet to indulge my thirst. For me, value and performance must be part of a singular package and this a rare watch that satisfies my tough but economical demands.

This review refers to the Model 2218.50, XL version (45 mm case) with steel bracelet. The opinions of the movement, adjustment and reliability are also applicable to the model with rubber strap and leather / lizard strap.
This is a hefty timepiece, it weighs 9+ ounces (over half a pound), it feels and exudes quality and is bound to illicit a glance and a double take. The domed double anti glare sapphire crystal is super sharp and sometimes hard to determine it is even there.

My husband got this Omega watch for his birthday and he loves it. After looking at several, he decided on the 2253.80 because of its looks; and style. He could not be more pleased with this fine timepiece. Please note that the Omega website info on the 2253.80 is that it is “sold out” and is 36.25mm in width.

The Omega Aqua Terra with the 2500 Co-Axial Movement is an excellent timekeeper as its Chronometer rating demands out of a timepiece as this. In three weeks ownership with regular wear, I have been monitoring the accuracy on a daily basis, and so far I have been getting approximately 2+/- seconds per day which is extremely precise for a mechanical watch. And, the watch is a beauty, its gold hands and markers on a white slightly iridescent dial contrasts beautifully.
