Seiko Men’s SNDA65 Chronograph Strap Watch Pros:
*Accurate. Haven’t had to adjust it since I set it 6 months ago.
*Excellent quality. At this price, the quality and finish are very good. Haven’t really tested the water resistance.
*Black Ion Finish. I am really surprised at how well the black ion finish has held up after 6 months. I thought for sure it would be really dinged and scratch up by now. Rubbing against metal doors and desk, it’s held up well. You can see the dings up close, but the black finish is still intact. Haven’t yet tested concrete, as I’m sure it would get gouged, but hopefully I won’t have to.

Cons:
*Chronograph fun to watch, but don’t use much
*No perpetual calendar

Overall, I’m very happy with the watch, and am surprised at how well the black finish as held up. Great looking timepiece.

A durable hardlex window shields the black-and-gray dial face, which features the three chronograph subdials, silver and red watch hands, and a discrete date calendar at the six o’clock position. Kinetic: A powerhouse in technological innovation

Like mechanical and quartz, Kinetic is a platform. Over the past 20 years, SEIKO has created on this platform a suite of Kinetic movements, each bringing unique features to the consumer.

It was at the 1986 Basel Fair that SEIKO unveiled its first Kinetic prototype. Introduced under the trial name of ‘AGM’, it was the first watch in the world to convert kinetic movement into electrical energy. It was the first step in a development that, 20 years later, has made Kinetic synonymous with environmental friendliness, high performance and long-lasting convenience to a generation of users worldwide. From the launch in 1988 of the first commercially available watch (then under the new name AGS) until today, over eight million Kinetic watches have been sold (as of 2007).

In 1998, Kinetic Auto Relay was released, extending the ‘at-rest’ operating period of the watch to a remarkable 4 years. 1999 saw the launch of the Ultimate Kinetic Chronograph, a masterpiece which fused the very best of SEIKO’s mechanical and electronic watch making skills, and in 2003 another Kinetic Chronograph was launched. At Baselworld 2005, the Kinetic Perpetual made its first appearance, combining Kinetic convenience and longevity with a perpetual calendar, correct to the year 2100. In 2007, SEIKO’s emotional technology Kinetic Direct Drive is introduced.

Bulova Men’s 98H37 Marine Star Chronograph Watch Purchased this to add a little color to my otherwise black and silver watches. It is nicely put together and the blue of the face and bezel are very deep and rich looking. I agree with other reviews that there is just enough gold. Per my ruler it is 41mm in diameter from 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock, including the unidirectional bezel. On the Amazon image showing the scale it shows about 38mm. Took it to a watch store and had them take out some links so I can now enjoy it. Highly recommend it if you want something that is a little different but does not shouth out ‘hey look at me’ too much. One nice touch was that when I opened the box it was not already running so the battery has not been running while sat on a shelf in the warehouse.

How to Use the Elapsed Time Bezel
If your watch is equipped with a rotating outer dial with one-minute graduations, this can be used in various ways to check elapsed time. For example if you’re diving and have a 30-minute air supply, you can set the outer ring so that the bezel’s starting point is in line with the minute hand when you first submerge. The minute hand will then indicate on the outer ring the length of time that you’ve been under water and when you should safely begin to resurface.

Timekeeping is excellent, the crystal is pristine and seemingly unscratchable. Then jeweler that changes the battery periodically for me has informed me that the mechanicals are the same as Rolex, and the crystal is saphire. Go ahead, buy the Rolex.
