Stuhrling Original Men’s 165A.33112 Lifestyle ‘Winchester Elite’ Skeleton Automatic Watch I received this watch promptly and i can say this – it looks just as beautiful as the image – it really is a piece of art and will definitely get you comments on its look. My only 2 comments are this – amazon lists this as having a calendar date feature. This watch doesnt have a perpetual calendar, or any calendar for that matter. Thats amazons mistake though, not Stuhrling. The other comment I have for this is that while it is fully automatic, the “sweeping second hand” isnt quite as sweeping as some other watches. You can see the mechanical clicks if you look at it, but still, its a great watch for the price, and in this price range I dont think i’ve seen a watch quite as nice looking as this one, I am very happy with it and would recommend it if you can look past the 2 things i noted above!

Kenneth Cole New York Men’s KC1515 Automatic Brown Leather Strap Watch This watch caught my eye as I have been looking for the “Perfect” skeleton watch. This was close but no cigar. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fantastic watch and keeps time well. The problem I had was that it looks slightly different in the picture than it does in real life. The bezel that contains the roman numerals is not white as it appears in the photo, its Stainless Steel. If the bezel were white, it would pop more in my opinion and look better. It’s also slightly smaller than I’d hoped for but that is totally subjective because this is a great and reliable watch either way.

Pros:
1) Keeps time very well for an automatic.
2) You’ll get plenty of compliments wearing it.
3) You can feel it winding which tells you it’s working correctly.

Cons:
1) Smaller than it could be.

Overall, great watch and I wear it frequently.

Bulova Men’s 98A105 Marine Star Automatic Black Dial Watch I recently become infatuated with mechanical watches. The idea that I could have a timepiece that relies solely on mechanical energy (gears and springs) in the modern world where almost every accessory has connection to Wi-Fi and the 3G network was very refreshing to me. Unfortunately, like most people, I couldn’t really bring myself to spend thousands of dollars on a swiss brand like Omega or Rolex. This watch is very affordable for anyone, and is absolutely beautiful. Right out of the box I realized that it is much better looking than the pictures show. I love that it not only has a clear back so you can see all of the gears, but it also has a little window in the face that is constantly spinning back and forth. The second hand ticks every 1/5 second (I think) to give it a “sweeping” look. It doesn’t keep perfect time (I’ve had to set it back a couple minutes two different times in the month that I’ve owned it) but it hasn’t been a problem at all for me.

My one word of warning would have to do with the size. It is kind of bulky, especially for someone with skinny wrists like me, but I did get used to the size after wearing it for a few days.

Overall I would strongly suggest this watch to anyone who would appreciate the inner workings of a automatic watch, and say that you should look somewhere else if you are a skinny-wristed person looking for your watch to keep perfect time.

Invicta Men’s 2301 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch I’m going to cut right to the point. Everyone’s complaints about this watch fogging up after a few weeks is absolutely true. Dont think that its just a fluke, this watch will fog up inside. Its not horrible, you can still see the time just fine, and it is still attractive, but it is disappointing.

That being said, the first week that I owned this watch was easily worth 100 of the 0. The dial is a brilliant deep blue. Before it fogs up, the watch just glows in the sunlight. Sitting in the car, the reflection from the sun will put a nice bright blue spot on the door. This watch is simply stunning. It is so beautiful it beggars belief.

Even with the moisture on the inside of the crystal, it is attractive. It is so sad and disappointing to see the fog in there but the watch is just beautiful enough to barely make up for that fact.

The movement is reliable and it runs a little fast. It is an incredibly neat watch to own. The exhibition case back is especially nice. I am glad I bought it.

But beware: Buy this watch for its emotive properties. If you are looking for the most practical watch, don’t get this watch. If it seems silly to you to buy a watch that will fog up don’t get this watch. If you want a watch that appeals to your emotions however, this fits the bill perfectly. It is a timepiece that you will be proud of.

Kenneth Cole New York Men’s KC3807 Automatic Watch This watch is pretty unique looking and i get compliments on it everywhere. People think that i have paid 3 to 4 times more than i actually did. The clear back and skeletonish front really shows the inner workings of the watch. It also has a very hefty and quality feel. Where else can you get something that looks so good WITH an automatic movement for this price? Once i got this one, i bought other watches from the same collection, and many of my coworkers jumped on the bandwagon as well. In fact, i like it so much i am back online to purchase a replacement because i broke the other one. It was my fault not the watches. I was walking past something and i slammed the watch into a corner of a metal door. It would have been fine with only a scratch but unfortunately it landed sqaure on the main winding/setting knob and bent it severely. The only reason i rated it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it didnt keep fabulous time (but then again neither do many auto watches that cost 10 times what this one does!) and sometimes it would go to the wrong date on the date dial. Of course this may be because i only had it for 2 months and it didnt get calibrated as to what month it was yet? Either way i highly recommend it. ~Brando

I have read all the reviews on Amazon and I do agree with everyone who has a problem about the numbers on the black bezel. I do not know why Armitron would take the time to put them there when you cannot even see them. After you wear it for some time you don’t even know they are there. Other than that I have no cons to report. My watch keeps great time. Sure it might lose a little time if not worn every day but most automatic watches loose time if you don’t wear them all the time. Now for the guy who says his stops and needs to be shaken alot to get it started, I’m thinking there is more of a problem there if he needs to shake it all the time. Most watch people will tell you, you can wind your watch with the crown to put power to the main spring, (10-20 winds should get it going.) I purchased my watch from a retailer not on Amazon for about less and was able to ask for a specific number watch. I didn’t have the packaging problem like the others have reported and my watch had all the plastic coverings so I knew it was new and never worn. I would recomend this watch if you are a TREKKIE but look around on the web, Amazon isn’t the only place you can find this watch.

Invicta Men’s 9094 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch This is my everyday watch. It is good looking, well-made (for the price) and durable thus far. Only con is that it seems to gain couple seconds a day, therefore, at the end of the month, it is about minute or two fast – I suppose it’s better than being slow but this is expected from a non-quartz movement type of watches that use unadjusted automatic movement. It’s a trade-off for not having the need to replace the battery every few years. If you are like me and like to wear different watches for different occasions, auto-movement watches can be a pain unless you invest in auto-winder or two. I disagree with some people; I think Invicta watches in general (I have several Invictas) have decent bands that are nicely finished and have sufficient heft to them. Compared to comparable Seiko 5 automatic watches, Seikos have cheap, light weight, rough feel to them, although the Seiko 5 are also a good choice for a daily beater – their bands tend to give out long before their auto-movements do. These Pro Diver series that ape Rolex/Omega design are the ones that put Invicta on the map in the watch world. Although the style is easy to copy, customer service appearantly is not as noted by many user here and other watch forums. But then, if I get seveal years of trouble-free use out them, I’m happy. If you want the legendary service, you gonna have to pony up for a real thing (Rolex) through its authorized dealer.
