Casio Men’s Pathfinder Solar Altimeter/Barometer/ Digital Compass Triple Sensor Watch #PAG50-1V Well I bought this watch not to long ago. I really love it! I got it so I can use it when i go snowboarding in back country! I have found it very useful! It is a great looking watch. I’m not a watch wearer so it took me some time to get use to it. (But feels better then any-other watch i have had in the past). But the only question I have for this watch is can I use it in salt water? And there are 2 different depths it says on this page! 100m(330f) and 200m(660f) and that is a big difference! I am taking a diving course at my college and i am wondering if I can use it for light diving under 600 feet! Or if I can use it at all in salt water! Its a really cool watch and I always find my self playing with it! GREAT FOR THE MONEY$$$$

Casio Men’s Pathfinder Solar Altimeter/Barometer/ Digital Compass Triple Sensor Watch #PAG50-1V Set a course for adventure every day you wear this solar-powered Casio Pathfinder Triple Sensor men’s digital watch (model PAG50-1V), which includes a built-in digital compass, altimeter, barometer, and thermometer. The digital compass displays 16 directions and has a 5-set memory capacity that captures direction, month, date, and measurements time data. The altimeter measures up to 32,800 feet (10,000 meters) in 20-foot (5-meter) increments, and it can store 50 sets of altitude memory with date and temperature. It also provides a target altitude alarm and graphing capability for target and altitude tendency.

This large, round watch features a silver resin case that’s accented with large black buttons. Because it’s solar-powered–charging in either sunlight or indoor light–you’ll never have to deal with changing the battery. Light enters the watch through the sapphire crystal and dial, and hits a solar cell beneath the dial. Current is created and stored in the battery.

The duplex LCD provides two liquid crystal panels, enabling you to select from among different display patterns. It offers a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity and elapsed time, split time, and 1st/2nd place time modes. It also includes a daily alarm, optional hourly time signal, and 12/24-hour formats. Other features include a comfortable resin strap, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, AfterGlow LED electro-luminescent backlight, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).

Timex Men’s Digital Compass Canvas Strap Expedition Watch #T49686 I’ve been looking for a backlit watch for a while. I previously relied only on my cell phone for time, but eventually I couldn’t deny a watch is much more convenient. To further justify the purchase I looked for a durable water resistant watch that does more than just tell time, yet doesn’t cost a fortune. This Timex T49686 fits the bill perfectly.

Pros:
* Digital compass. This is the extra feature that makes it more than just another watch.
* Simple, no nonsense styling and colors. It’s relatively plain and it’s all black (with a little bit of white/silver accents).
* Water resistant to 100m. While I don’t plan to dive with it, I can certainly swim with it.
* At 41mm diameter, it’s one of the smallest digital compass watches available, if not the smallest. I don’t like unnecessarily huge watches.
* Standard 20mm band. If I don’t like the band or it breaks, finding replacement is trivial.
* The back of the band is water resistant nubuck leather, so it’s quite comfortable to wear.
* Very reasonable price. Fifty bucks is good value considering all the features.

Cons:
* The fabric (outer) side of the band can be made from better material. I got loose threads around the buckle hole after only a week of use. Fortunately I can burn and seal them off with a lighter.

Other thoughts: The watch has been functioning flawlessly for me. I don’t see it resetting itself even after many button pushes.
